I want to be like Aunt Syd!

Long jump was his second event. He really likes to "sand jump" as he calls it! He jumped every moment he could in between the other events throughout the day. He jumped 6 feet! When it was his turn to go, they were still raking the pit so everyone yelled his name so he stopped and started to cry because he thought he was in trouble. I thought maybe he was done for the day but he pulled himself together and did the long jump with his friend Carter!

Softball throw was his first event. He was very excited to see his friend Zane Bloom was in his group. Mr. Zane did an awesome job!

50 meter dash - Weston and Jackson were in the same heat, Carter was in the following heat. They all did great and had fun. In the long jump and softball throw they get 3 tries. When they finished Weston asked me when he gets to go for his next tries. He also continued to ask what other events he was going to do. He was not ready for his turn to be over!

Weston was very happy to have Aunt Syd by his side to play with! He thought they should practice together!

Weston and Carter co-jumping at the long jump pit!

Weston and Jayden getting warmed up for the track meet! Weston was so excited to see Jayden and it made him so comfortable!

Leading up to the track meet we talked a lot about all the people that would be at the track. Weston is very shy in public and it takes him a long time to warm up. He also hates anything that is a surprise. So I try to think of every possible angle to cover during prep time. We went to the track on Friday night so he could run, play and get comfortable.

He watches everything Aunt Sydney does and remembers, also. Following our play time at the track we went to the grocery store and he picked out grapes and gatorade because that's what Aunt Syd takes to every sport event. He packed a cooler this morning before we left just like Aunt Sydney!

We had a great time today and enjoyed time talking and playing with friends and family!
