This weekend some guys from Salida, Colorado are up turkey hunting and enjoying Kansas! This morning Chad and Jordy took Weston on his first turkey hunt and boy did he have fun. Pretty sure they will never be going hunting without him now. He was determined to take his bow along and they agreed. After they shot the turkey he ran out with his bow. As it was flopping around he shot it. He hit it in the flopper (wing) as he called it and then he said look it stopped flopping! He called me on their way home to tell me all about the HUNT! When they arrived at the farm he showed us how he shot it with his bow. He also helped clean it and told Chad to get the legs for him to eat! And finally he had to help wash the small feathers off and bag it for the freezer! What a great memory and start of a great tradition!
