Update on Weston

Saturday March 14th Dr.Duff added Pulmicort to Weston's daily med's.
Monday March 16th Dr. Gallagher added Omnicef left ear infection and right ear bright red.
Tuesday March 17th called Dr. Dove at 8:00 she refered us on to the Emergency Room. Mercy here we come. Symptoms : very low grade fever starting, retracting a little, only 3 hours since xopenex treatment, tummy muscles working very hard - poor guy was sleeping and he was laboring to breathe. :( ER checked us in they were very very busy...oxygen sat 95 good yes but that was a red flag to Chad and I when his normal runs 99 to 100. Saw PA at 11:00 he put an order in for an X-ray, Weston did very well and asked to see his picture when he was done. Pretty sad that he has been through it enough to know what's going on. PA Allen reports back he has pneumonia. We can go home to wait it out and added zithormax to the med list.

Yesterday he was very tired and talking made him breathe hard. He was pretty happy and played farm in the living room. He wanted to go outside all day and Chad told him the doctor said he had to stay indoors. Weston replied NO HE DIDN'T. Man we are in trouble he listen's so well, he does know he has to take his med's (the zithormax taste terrible) or he will go back to the hospital.

Today I see a small improvement in the breathing, a little less coughing and he is not as tired. But has a long way to go. He is standing and playing farm and walking around which is closer to the norm! Eyes have a sparkle back in them!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tomorrow he will see Dr. Duff (Dr. Gallagher is off this week) for a follow up before the weekend. PA Allen thought it would take 5-6 days and at that point we would still see some signs. Say a prayer that we get a good check tomorrow.
